Terms of Service
Last updated: November 24, 2025
1. Acceptance & Scope
ChatStorm is developed and owned by a single developer. These Terms govern your use of the ChatStorm browser extension and this website. By installing, accessing, or using ChatStorm, you confirm you are legally able to agree to these Terms and will comply with applicable laws.
2. License & Restrictions
You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use ChatStorm for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may install it only from the official Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons listings. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, modify to create derivative works, reverse engineer (except where permitted by law), or package ChatStorm for any other distribution channel. Automated scraping, bulk downloading, or any use that interferes with the normal operation of the extension, the Chrome Web Store, or Edge Add-ons is prohibited.
3. Third-Party Services
ChatStorm can interact with third-party AI services at your request. Those services are operated by their respective providers, and you remain responsible for complying with their terms and policies. ChatStorm does not control or endorse third-party platforms and is not responsible for their availability, content, or data practices.
4. Ownership
All rights, title, and interest in ChatStorm (including code, brand, and content) remain with the developer. No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms.
5. Availability & Changes
ChatStorm is provided as-is and may be updated, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. Features may change, and continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
6. Disclaimer
ChatStorm and its website are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. You are responsible for backing up your data and verifying outputs before relying on them.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits, or business arising from or related to your use of ChatStorm or third-party services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Total cumulative liability will not exceed the amount you paid for ChatStorm (currently provided for free).
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the developer harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of ChatStorm, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable local laws where the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
